An Emigrant's Nostalgia (to the tune of Pu Sa Man)

by Wei Zhuang ( about 836 - about 910)

Luoyang City is beautiful in spring,

Luoyang talents are getting old elsewhere.

Thinking of the willow-shaded dyke,

I don't know where I really ought to go.

Oh, the peach-blossom flood in spring,

And mandarin ducks swimming,

In the lucid streams!

When I'm despondently gazing at the setting sun,

You don't know, my old friends,

How dearly I do miss you!
